Local work in Kyogle NSW 2474
Kyogle sits on the upper Richmond River at the foot of the Border Ranges, with the Summerland Way running north through Wiangaree towards the Queensland border. The country is green, hilly and wet, and that combination drives most of the work we see here.
Steep clay driveways are the classic Kyogle problem. They are fine in a dry spell, then turn slippery and rut badly after heavy rain. We reshape them with crossfall, cut rollover drains and table drains so water leaves the surface early, and where the grade is steep a council-approved bitumen seal on the worst pinches makes the difference between getting up the hill and not.
House and shed sites on a slope need careful cut and fill, stable batters and drainage behind the cut so the pad does not get wet from above. We prepare pads ready for the slab or footings, trench for water, power and stormwater, and leave the site tidy for the builder.
High rainfall also means fast regrowth. Lantana, camphor laurel seedlings and overgrown fence lines are a regular job for the Yanmar ViO55 with flail mulcher, which can work on slopes and in tighter spots than a dozer.
Wet plant hire is also available if you want a machine and operator for a few days of your own work, such as cleaning out drains or tidying fence lines before the fencing contractor arrives.
